Duties & Responsibilities
The City Council created the Orlandia Heights Neighborhood Improvement District pursuant to the approval of a referendum by the registered electors residing in the Orlandia Heights subdivision. The purpose of the district is to generate revenue through special assessments levied in the district to be used for roadway repairs and improvements.
A majority of the City Council shall appoint a board of three directors who shall reside in the district. The directors shall be appointed for a term of three years. The chairman shall be elected from the membership in January annually. The district shall propose a tentative budget, including proposed millage rate and/or assessment level to the Council for approval annually.
The Board meets bi-monthly on the 4th Thursday at 7p.m. in the City Council Chambers, 16 Colomba Road.
